The final lecture in the Irish Architectural Archive’s Royal Irish Academy: Art and Architecture of Ireland, Volume IV: Architecture Reflections and Insights Lecture Series.
All lectures are open to the public and take place in the Irish Architectural Archive, 45 Merrion Square, Dublin 2. Booking essential. Places strictly limited to 50.
Admission and talks are free but donations to the Irish Architectural Archive are always welcome.

Lecture Cancelled
With regret, we must announce the cancellation of the lecture ‘Brutalism in Ireland’ with Ellen Rowley and Donal Hickey originally scheduled for Tuesday 14 April at 1.15pm.
T.J. Byrne Exhibition
Now showing on the first floor of No. 45 Merrion Square, an exhibition celebrating T.J. Byrne, probably best remembered as the architect responsible for the rebuilding of the GPO, the Custom House and the Four Courts in the 1920s. This exhibition was originally curated for South Dublin Libraries by Michael Fewer in 2011. For more see here.
Archive service interruption postponement
Please note that the staff training scheduled for Tuesday 10 and Wednesday 11 March has been postponed and so normal Archive operations will apply on these dates, i.e. the reading room and Architecture Gallery will be open from 10am to 5pm.
Christmas Design Shop
The Merrion Square Network Christmas Design Shop returns to the IAA on Saturday 29 November 2014. Go here for more.
Open House Dublin
The Irish Architectural Archive will once again be participating in the Irish Architecture Foundation’s Open House Dublin event. No. 45 Merrion Square will be open to the public on Saturday 18 October from 11am to 5pm with tours of the building and a chance to see our two current exhibitions.
Reading Room Closed Thursday 25 September
For operational reasons, the IAA reading room will be closed for one day – Thursday 25 September 2014. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
Aside from Thursday 25 September, normal reading room hours continue to apply, i.e. 10am to 5pm, Tuesdays to Fridays, and by appointment on Mondays.
Merrion Square Open Day 2014
Saturday 30 August 2014 is Merrion Square Open Day, a Heritage Week event. The Archive will be open from 10am to 5pm, with regular tours and a chance to see two new exhibitions.
