The membership of the Board includes the Chairman of the Commissioners of Public Works or his/her appointee, the Director of the National Archives or his/her appointee, the Director of the National Library of Ireland or his/her appointee, the Chairperson of the Heritage Council or his/her appointee and the President of the Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland. In addition, the Minister for Arts, Sport and Tourism may appoint in personal capacities, with the consent of the Directors, up to three persons as Directors for fixed periods. The following persons may also be considered for election as Directors: one person from amongst the architects currently in practice in the State, one person from amongst the staff of faculties considered by the Directors to be relevant to the objects of the Company in third level educational institutions in the State, one person involved in, or with practical experience of, building conservation, one person involved in, or with practical experience of, the building industry or property development, one person with experience in Northern Ireland considered by the Directors to be relevant to the objects of the Company and up to four other persons whose membership will enhance the profile of the Board or further the objects of the Company.
The current members of the Board are: Anne Casement, Edward Cassidy, Patrick Cooney, Ron Cox, William Cumming, John Graby (Company Secretary), Honora Faul, Aideen Ireland, Paul Keogh, Edward McParland (Honorary President), Michael O'Doherty, Toal O’Muire, Shane O'Toole, Finola Reid, John Redmill; Nicholas Robinson (Honorary President), Stephen Vernon, Michael Webb (Chairman).
